Calculating tax form 11

Looking for some advise about filling out my first self employed tax return.

I'm on Back to Work Enterprise Allowance which i believe isn't taxable.
I earned 10,000 euro from my work and I spent 4000 on costs, so I pay 20% on 6000 is that right?
I pay 253 PRSI and i'm exempt from Income Levy because I have a medical card.

Looking for confirmation on this or advise if i'm off.

It's not that simple. I can't advise on whether back to Work allowance is taxable. However you will have allowances depending on your family circumstances which will substantially reduce your tax payable. Also you need to factor in PRSI and USC. Look up Revenue.ie for the latest allowances. There are also tax calculators available on the Net.
