I have finally gotten round to selling the eircom shares that
cost 1903.2 euro for 488 shares at flotation.
I had 507 eircom shares when Valentia paid me 676.84 in November 2001 and I received 240 new vodafone shares.
I opted to sell the verizon shares in 2014 and received 308.26 euro and 192 new vodafone shares which I think were valued at 2.9 per share
Dividends were reinvested and I had 313 shares when I sold them in March 2025 for Stg 206.58
I am trying to calculate the overall loss to offset against a later gain but am totally confused and under pressure to complete the tax return. Have the government revised the value of the valentia share pay out from 1.335 per share. The gov website info seems to be undergoing updating at the minute. I would be grateful for any help please
