Calculate Take Home Pay

Is there a simple calculator/guide to calculate your take home pay?
Looking at my payslip my PAYE seems quite high - almost 28% of gross.
I get paid fortnightly and just want to check I'm not on emergency tax.
 
Yeah that's what I was basing my take home pay on. Judging by that I'm about €170 short. I'm guessing that calculator is fairly accurate.
On closer inspection of my payslip, if you can picture the regular blue playslip, there's some discrepancies on it.
To the top right my Gross pay is correct, however in the bottom-left my gross pay is stated as over €20,000 and my Tax Paid is wrong aswell. There's definitely something going on so my take home this week was probably wrong.
 
The calculators may not take account of all tax credits/allowances applicable to all situations. Are your tax credits correct? Are there any adjustments for past tax shortfalls? If you post more specific info about your personal situation, statement of tax credits and payslip then people may be able to comment with more certainty.
