Can anyone recommend a cabinet maker in Dublin please? I want to get a television unit made, I have a picture of what I want so just need somebody to build it.

yes i can, Higginbothams in coolock. their furniture is excpetional. i know someone who has been working there for years. (not me by the way)
 
I had a carpenter do a lot of work in my house over the yrs, including building cabinets, hanging doors and making presses. He was excellent. His first name is Alan, I don't remember his surname.He is in North Dublin. His number is 087 9731318. He wasn't the cheapest guy, but he was very talented and took his time.

Won't be going with Higginbothams anyway - got a quote today for a small cabinet for 1,350 euro. Insane!
 
Not completely insane, perhaps. The price could be fair, depending on the cabinet.

What timber is to be used for the cabinet?, is it solid wood?, and what type?

Is it complex to make? The fact that you have your own picture may actually complicate the cabinet.

Is the cabinet fitted or freestanding?
