C0-Sleeper or Mini Co-Sleeper For Baby

Just wondering if any of you have used these or know anyone who has used them and if you have any feedback on them, good bad or indifferent? Want to know really if they are as good as they sound in terms of saving on the amount of equipment one needs to buy for new baby? Does it really save the need for changing tables, play pens, travel cots and moses baskets?

we got one and found it was great for dealing with the night feeds. Was heavy to use as a travel cot and not so easy to pop up and down. Our little lady grew out of it very quickly, about 3 months, so we didnt get as much of the extended usability out of it.
In all, very limited, not the best value. We ended up using a good travel cot for a while until she went to own room.
 
moses baskets dont last very long and is a waste of money.made that mistake with my 1st child.after 4 months i ended up giving it away.play pens are good espcaially when the baby gets to 9months and over.as for the co sleeper/changing thingy on top.its not very long so baby grows out of it in a matter of months.2nd child
i bought a changing mat in smiths for 12e and put it ontop of my daughters clothes drawers.4 drawer set.i had nappys,wipes and so on in the first drawer so everything was in easy reach.and bought a little bouncy chair and later on at 7 months a travelcot as a playpen..
a cot will last much longer.
 
Not sure if this is the same thing you are talking about, but we had a co-sleeper cot for our baby last year - It certainly replaced a cradle or moses basket, but I can't imagine how it would replace a travel cot or playpen, so maybe you are referring to something else?

The cot pulls in right beside our bed and her mattress was exactly at the same height as our mattress, which meant there was no gap or barrier between me and her - if she stirred at night and threatened to wake up, I could just slide my head in beside hers for a couple of mins and my breathing right beside her would normally settle her.

The big advantage though was for the night time feeds - I didn't even have to sit up at night to feed her - just reached over with one hand, slid her across from her bed into our bed, quick feed, and then slid her back into her own space again. Easy peasy!

Now that my daughter is older, it functions as just a normal cot in her own room.
 
If I had my money again I'd buy that cosatto cot.
You will thank yourself in the middle of the night when you don't have to move a half asleep baby from bed to cot and have her wake up. The arms reach one does not look like you can feed directly in it.


it will do 2 years too.
 
Thanks a million for the replies. As I thought, it is not really all it is cracked up to be. I will definitely check out the cosatto cot though.
