Could anyone enlighten me on the pros/cons of buying versus building. Ive been thinking about buying for a while but am not overly enamoured with what Im seeing for my investment. So the thought of building instead has entered my mind. I have a 3 bedroom dormer in mind.
- In a rural area in the south what would one expect to pay for a site?
- Timberframe v. concrete? cost?
- Does building or buying tend to work out cheaper?
- Best way to go about getting good and not extortionist contractors?
- Time frame?
