Who are the best and/or cheapest for buying USD denominated shares.

Thanks for the reply. Tried a few of the links.Interactive was the only one I got to work that did not require me to be a US resident, although they were charging a monthly fee. I would not be an active trader and not warrant signing up for that.

It is also expensive to go through an Irish broker although no stamp duty payable.

I use this crowd. I think min is $1000 or 2000 . 10$ or 15$ per transaction . First 10 or something like that is free. No monthly charge.

There is an array of online brokers to choose from..
- Ameritrade
- Scot Trade
- MyTrack
- Optionsxpress

Thisngs to watch are...

- min deposit requirements
- trade fees - beware of the $7 a trade adverts - which are true but are based upon selling to market as opposed to selling to limit. Selling to limits - which are more desireable are on avg $13-$15 a trade.
