Buying property in Ireland but not currently living there

Hi all,

I just recently moved to the States but I'm a Dub. I don't plan on staying here longer than 1-2 years and I have cash I want to invest in a property in Dublin. Will an Irish mortgage broker grant me a mortgage even though I'm not currently resident in Ireland? I can just imagine the reception I would get in the States if I ask here for a mortgage in Ireland...

Yes a non resident can get a mortgage. Why do you want to buy a property so far away from you?
