buying furniture from vendor?

hi there,
im in the process of buying a house and have paid my booking deposit. there are two sets of shelving in the house that are not built in but fit the alcoves perfectly in the sitting room so i really would like to keep them as part of the house but unfortunately they are not explicitely included in the sale. i mentioned my wish to buy them from the vendor to the estate agent when she accepted my offer and she said she would get in touch with the vendor and see if they would be willing to part with them. however i havent heard back from her. is this an issue i should leave for my solicitor or should i give the estate agent another call and try again?

Give the estate agent a call and ask her to follow up. I also did this and had to chase the agent but got replies from the vendor eventually.
