We are thinking of buying our first house...having cold feet as there is so much talk about the house market..we've noticed alot of houses been on the market for quite a while! Granted we viewed some of them and they were kips but I wonder if anyone has any view on whether ftb should hold off rent a bit longer+hope for prices to fall or not be scared and jump in now.Thanks

If it is going to be your home and you can afford the mortgage then that should be your main consideration. Trying to pick the "right" time can the tricky.

Get your mortgage approval and then go and look for your house, and stick to your budget!

We have to move soon as we have a one bed apartment and are having a baby but our gut feeling is to wait as long as possible.
