Buy Argentine Peso

Has anyone being following the peso.

Its now getting 4 pesos per euro when last year it was under 1 peso.

Anyone think it might be a good play ?

You'd better recheck your sources. It was around the same rate this time last year (~4.7:1).

My answer would be no. Why do you want to buy it? Is it just because it is cheaper than it has been in the past because if it is, that is no reason to make an investment. The Government is deliberately running a weak peso strategy to help the economy. Who knows how low they will let it go.
