Trying to plan kitchen, and have limited area for full height units.
Is it ok to put integrated f/f beside oven (pryoclean).
Electrician says no, kitchen fitter reckons, no problem, as appliances are insulated and if this was a problem the kitchen units would warp from heat..

Who do I believe?

Can be done but you are making your f/f work much harder this way, so it will cost more to run. Might also make it wear out sooner, but open to correction on that.

In these instances it is common to have a double panel between the appliances as opposed to a single

For seven years now we have these two units near each other. As ninsaga says there are two edge panels between the pyroclean oven and the f/f. Both seem to be working perfectly with no problems with esb bill either.

The book for the cooker mentions having a minimum of 2mm between units.

This IKEA kitchen planner might help or the Panelling Centre one here. Cash and Carry have one [broken link removed].
