Building Grants for older person living alone

I suppose the heading speaks for itself. Neighbour of mine in their 80s living alone needs a major job done on their roof ( collapsed concrete barges and leaky roof).
He had received a previous grant going back 8 or 9 years ago for work on a leaky kitchen flat roof . Would that disqualify them from an additional grant ?

I understand grant no longer available,for oil boiler ,my oil boiler ,tank and radiators ,all need attention,costing a small fortune,unable to pay for it ,what do I do Thanks in advance

Not much point in speculating. It depends on the nature of the work, the cost and his means.

He should apply and leave it to to the grant awarders to decide whether or not he's eligible and if so, how much they're prepared to give him.

As I always used to tell people, the one thing that's 100% certain is that if they don't apply then they won't get a grant.
