Sad I know, but I have taken down some of the better ones from the various letters to shareholders.....
On MBA's:
It’s difficult to teach a new dog old tricks.
On accounting fraud:
It has been far safer to steal large sums with a pen than small sums with a gun
On Expanding to boost the Bal Sheet:
The empire would have been larger, but the citizenry would have been poorer.
On Depreciation:
Depreciation is a particularly unpleasant expense as it's cost is bourne up-front - imagine paying your staff for the next 10 years now
On management predicting the future profits:
Managers that always promise to "make the numbers" will at some point be tempted to "make-up
the numbers".
