BTEA and temp job

I have been unemployed for just under a year after being made redundant and are going back to college in September. I am hoping to get the back to education allowance so have to stay signing on. Have been offered a temp role for 3-4 weeks/35 hours a week. My questions is can sign off do this temp role then sign on again and still qualify for BETA??

No, I dont think you can, however once your on the BTEA you can work part time.

Are you sure? It doesn't seem right when I will actually be working and not claiming the dole for 3-4 weeks? Shouldn't they be encouraging this??

Best thing to do is check it out here and contact your local welfare office
