BTEA and rent supplement

I am hoping to attend college next year on the back to education allowance scheme. My preferred choice of course is in a college that is too far for me to commute to, so I would have to rent locally(I am currently living with my parents). Would I be entitled to any form of rent supplement?

a friend of mine went back to college 2 years ago on the BTEA , lived across the road from the college and got rent allowance so you will surely qualify ! Check with your social welfare office
