If the URL does not exist fine, but I do not want this crowd involved.

Looks like it might be spyware/adware to me.

Have you got up to date virus/spyware/adware removal tools?

Check out the in case you haven't updated in a while.
 
Yes, I have up to date norton, I use adware and spybot and spyware blaster, all on XP Pro sp2 with up to date fixes.
