can you bring household waste to landfill and pay per car etc? Or is it just liscensed operators that can go direct?

I depends on where you are located, I think. I choose to use the local council's "bring centre" for household waste and recycling - €5 / bin-liner of house-hold waste, €3.50 / car-load of recycled material.

Yes i have used the corporation rubbish centre near sherrif street and found the prices ok for a boot load of garden material and some rubbish.

If you go on to the Greenstar website you will find their nearest site. They operate a site on Ballyogan road,Carrickmines where a car is €20 & a small van is €50.I, sure there are others as well.

One point to note on doing this if you don't use a refuge collection service and this is how you dispose of waste keep your receipts. As with the litter laws and fly tipping laws I've been told that local councils are looking at where households get rid of rubbish and if you can't prove what you do with it they will be accusing you of using unlicensed operators or illegal dumping.

You should keep your receipts anyway as you can then claim some of it back against your Tax at the end of the year.
