Hi Folks. I have to replace several fencing panels between my rented property and a neighbour as they are falling apart because of the weather and the neigbours kids. I have ordered the new panels and approached the neighbour with a view to paying half of the cost. The neighbour would not give me any information as to whether they owned the house (african origin
) or that they were renting and would not give me a contact no.
Am I within my rights to ask for half of the cost from the neighbour?
If the neigbour refuses to pay have I any recourse?
The kids have already damaged a planted hedging/fence between the two properties at the front of the house and are becoming a nuisance to my tenants who I can't afford to loose.
Note: As the neighbouring property does not seem to registered on the PRTB list is there anyother way of finding the landlord or would it be possible to find out if the county council own it?
