I was made redundant from my job several months ago and at that time received a P45 with the final salary amount filled in on the form, however payment for that amount was in the form of 7 post dated cheques.
The current state of play is that 5 of the cheques cashed but 2 bounced and according to the bank there is no money in my previous employers account.
The company is still trading but I know not where their finances are coming from. The outstanding amounts total €1700 and obviously my P45 is incorrect by that amount.
1) What is the best way to pursue this as I feel that getting a solicitor on board will negate any return that I may get?
2) What do I do about the P45?
