Hi all,
I just got my yearly bonus this week and as expected taxed at 42% like normal. But the problem I have is another person in my work got half the bonus that I got but didnt get taxed at all.
He said he got a good accountant to be very tax efficent.
What can accountants do for me? He payed him alot of money but it was well worth it.
I payed nearly 9k in tax.Can I do anything about this or anything for the future.
I am saving my money towards a pilot training course, could this be seen as educational or something.

Any help appricated

Unless he stuck it into a pension and got full tax/PRSI relief on it or something I can't see any obvious way that he would not have been taxed on the bonus.
