Can anyone shed some light on the total rate of tax on a bonus? just checked my a/c and by my figures, I'm aftyer getting hit around 56/57% mark, does this make sense?
It will depend on cumulative pay amounts but you will likely have Tax 41%, PRSI 4%, Health Levy 4% or 5% depending on income and Income Levy at 2,4 or 6% depending on income. Payroll should be able to give you a breakdown.
thanks guys, I've been doing some seperate reading and this ties in thereabouts. hr wil prob drop off slips at some ppint today/tomorrow. shouldn't be complaining.
