Anyone have any ideas how I can convince my other half that the BMW M5 is the best family car we can buy?!?

Has she raised specific objections yet or have you yet to discuss it?
 
Better still show the OH the Insurance quote for the M5. This should surely convince them that it really is the best family car, if you can keep it from been nicked at night, ;)
 
The M5 Touring is a very practical family car - luggage in the boot, au pair and ankle-biters in the rear, Mr & Mrs up front, there and back in no time flat, smiles all round. ;)
 
Just say nothing.

As far as Mrs Kine needs to know it is just a saloon car that happens to go like a scalded cat and will pass all but a petrol station.

Makes perfect sense to me big safe saloon car.

Just hide the insurance and tax renewals.
 
Whatever you do, don't tell how much it costs to tax every year. approx. E2000.
 
Split the difference and get a 535d instead! You can use the 'but its a diesel' trick!!!
