Bluetooth for PC's

Was in one of the mobile phone shops in town on saturday and saw USB adaptors based on Bluetooth wrieless technology. As well as connecting mobile devices to a USB-enabled PC, they are advertised as being capable of linking two desktop PC's at a range of 10 meters.

Has anyone ever used this connectivity method for PC's and how well did it work?

Whilst not exactly the same, I use bluetooth to transfer files between a PDA and a laptop. I'd imagine the same technology could be used to transfer files between PC's. It's probably different for each bluetooth product but the adapter I use integrates itself into the 'Send to ...' menu when I right-click on a file. I then just select the device I want to send it to.
