Blockage in electric shower feed from tank

Mains was damaged recently and water was cut off on our road. As a result, think some residue/stirofoam (from cover) may have got into feed pipe (1/2 ") to electric shower as no water getting to it. Checked filter on inlet connection of shower unit and nothing there. From tank to tap (on feed) there is no blockage either so something is stuck between the tap and the shower inlet.

The pipe is about 3-4 metres and has two bends - need to know how I can remove blockage - is there a narrow (for 1/2 " pipe) version of drain cleaner rods I could use? If I can get the blockage as far as the inlet connector on shower unit, I can remove.

Any help is appreciated?
 
Best thing to do is turn off water supply , empty tank , disconnect shower at tank and and wall , and blow through or feed a light wire through.

Same happened to me last year nearly 7 metres of pipe, feed through some copper wire , problem solved , out came some very small stones which had lodged in pipe.

Could it be an air lock of sorts? I had this happen last year when the council turned off the water without telling us. Shower ran dry as a result with an air lock as a result.
 
Got this sorted eventually

Used some 3 mm wire rope which may or may not hve freed things up but ended up blowing into the pipe from the higher end and hey presto - freed things up.

Note sure if it was an air lock or whether there was depris in there - couldn't find anything major in show tray afterward.

Other idea suggested to me where to use an air compressor to release the blockage or hook feed direct to mains for a couple of mins - that might release it too.
