does the fabric on a blackout blind face the room or the window please (other way around is the plastic coating to the room or the window). Thanks.

Doesn't make any difference so far as utility is concerned; you can't really see the window side of the blind so the from inside the room so the look of the thing doesn't matter either.

Really Im concerned about design, so is the fabric in the room or towards the exterior of the house. Cheers.

It makes no difference. The blackout fabric faces the window glass. Usually there is a decorative fabric on the other side, facing the room.

The fabric side of the blind should face the room, the plastic side against the window. The fabric side would get damp if it was facing glass wet with condensation, especially if it was touching off it.

cheers niallman and fraggle, had the bright idea to just ring a blind shop i had got a price off this afternoon and yes your right....just had a few days of panic praying plastic side wasnt to the bedroom. hated to ring man in shop as he's probably sick of us but finally have them ordered......
