Person aged 42 will be subject to Lifetime Community Loading of 14% charge added onto the price of a plan as you are over 34 years of age.
It amounts to 2% extra for every year you are over 34 years, you should get 1 year credit for the previous year you had health insurance.
Person aged 38 will not have any LCR loading applied as they will be given credit for the 6 years that they had health insurance before.
Child Options;
1. VHI One Plan Starter; price 115pa; all childrens hospitals are public hospitals so there is cover for all public hospitals on this plan.
2. VHI Start Plan; price 103pa; all childrens hospitals are public, this plan covers a selected list of public hospitals including the 3 childrens
hospitals in Dublin - Temple Street childrens hospital, Tallaght childrens hospital and Our Lady's Hospital Crumlin. If these hospitals don't
suit your location then Option 1 VHI One Plan Starter is a better plan.
