Laya Best option for active mid50s couple

Hi wondering what's best option for mid 50s couple? Currently on Laya flex 500 explore and looking at Laya Control 300.

No existing conditions but would envisage more visits to GP and Physio over the coming years, especially my husband as he is frequently needing Physio as a result of lots of hillwalking and a little running.

Our renewal date is mid January.

Is Laya Control 300 create a good policy?

Yes, Laya Control 300 Create is a very good policy with good day to day cover @ 1042pa.
This plan also fully covers a private room in a private hospital as standard.
Hip and knee replacement surgery fully covered in private and hi-tech hospitals, no excess, no shortfall.

Our sporty 25-year-old is now being cut loose and was hoping to get some advice as to a good plan for him - no underlying or existing issues and fit as a flea. Just finished with Laya Flex 500 Explore (in the 13-week period) and wondering what plan bearing in mind public hospital cover is all he wants and needs at the moment.

Best option for a sporty 25 year old is with VHI, details as follows;

One Plan Starter; price 539pa; all public hospitals covered;

Access to VHI Swiftcare Clinics is included on this plan, full consultation cost 125 - you pay 50, VHI cover 75.
Extra treatment x-rays tests etc max you pay is 150. This benefit is not subject to the outpatient excess 250.

The above plan just covers public hospitals. If surgery is required, you will be on the same hospital waiting list as those without health insurance,
which can be a long wait depending on the type of surgery. There are no private hospitals covered on this plan.
