Simple really but sinister. Implies a lot.

Julia, Lennon & McCartney, lyrics undoubtedly John's about his mother Julia, his biggest fan and supporter while he was playing with the Quarrymen. The love of his life, she was killed in 1958 by a drunk-driver when John was 17.
