Hi
I recently installed a solid fuel stove in my house. It is just stand alone with no back boiler. I have been trying out different fuel types in it but I was just wondering what anyone else out there uses.
For what it is worth I have used -
Other options that seem to be out there are Strogs (straw logs), Paper briquettes, I am sure there are many more but what have people found to be the most efficient and best value for money.
Thanks
Christy

For what it is worth I have used -
- Coal - Which is not bad but not very green
- Logs - Which were too damp and blackened the window
- Briquettes - Did not give out great heat
- Kiln dried logs - Which give out great heat but burn very quickly
Other options that seem to be out there are Strogs (straw logs), Paper briquettes, I am sure there are many more but what have people found to be the most efficient and best value for money.
