My cousin was the first person to say that he had his own gravitational pull.
He said his pronouns are obese and massive.
Laughter can be the salve that helps make the unbearable bearable. It's all about context and intent.

I think that’s a bit harsh, we need some gaiety in our lives, posters on here make jokes all the time, it’s part of the sites charm. Without jokes the world too would be a horrible place to live in if we took things too seriously all the time.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with someone who has a major illness. Given the demographics of this site that situation applies to us all.

Don’t get me started on pronouns. My BIL refers to those people as “The DeDemms”

They/Thems for the hard of understanding.

What kind of car is your relation currently using? I’d say go out and try a few cars for comfort. As far as I know, Citroen are well known for comfortable seating.

Like I said previously, I have a lot of experience in this area and people like that will always try and use a bit of humor to deflect against how they're really feeling on the inside.

I can guarantee you he is not happy about being obese and massive, you even said it yourself he is terribly worried about the future because of his weight.

Anyway each too their own.
 
Apart from having no car advise I think this in an interesting conversation. Joking about obesity is a tricky one I feel where you are coming form @Sarah Ryan. These people face stigma all the time I have dealt with different addiction diseases in my family and I suppose it is all about the intent of the person making the joke. Humour is nuanced and we do use it here at home to lighten the heaviness felt in our chests at times but it is a tricky one.

You took the Words out of my mouth. With a running board to make it easier to step up to and down from, with electrically adjustable memory driver's seat again to aid ingress and egress and adjusting the driving position, auto-box of course. There's a proto-spec to go searching with, maybe a short wheelbase commercial if carrying passengers isn't a requirement.
