A friend came to me for advice and asked me to post. He has €20k sitting in a CU account earning very little interest - he is trying to save for a deposit but realistically him buying a house is a long way off. He also has an SSIA coming up to maturity and will be saving €10 of that. What else could he do with it now that he is not even touching it just trying to amass a larger lump? What is the best account he could lodge it into for maybe 5+ years where he can add to it maybe once a year? He is not too interested in share based products.
