Said family home was bought by my mother and our contribution was €22k to make up with the difference of the purchase price. My mother and I are joint tenants, so if anything happens to me, she gets the house and vice versa.
Now it's being suggested that we sever the ties on this property. My mother's name and mine are on the deeds. Ex is looking for 25% of the sale value when our youngest child is finished full time education. Are there any case studies on equity law with this predicament?
