Beetle restoration

Hi all,
bought a beetle last year,stripped it out found rust etc any great tips or ideas for me as im just finding my way around here and not even sure if I should be posting this,

Beetle restoration is too vague a title. Your post speaks of finding rust and then asking for tips or ideas. Are you looking for tips on dealing with rust?

Am I mistaken or have mine and other attempts to help been removed from this thread? If memory serves one poster suggested forums specifically for VW restoration and I pointed towards "The old volks home". I also suggested that the title wasn't vague to me. I haven't received any communication suggesting that I am in contravention of any rules so am intrigued to know what has happened?
