Bankinter any advice

Great thanks for the replies.....tried opening an acccount and having awful trouble with the camera selfie....!!

A few point from my experience:

The application is very drawn out - 13/14 screens to wade through
I also had a lot of trouble with the selfie but got there eventually
They fund the deposit by means of a DD (single payment) very unusual, quite inflexible and caused me grief
In the month or so I have been dealing with them the app has hung (spinning wheel) on three occasions
Their security is a bit muddled and not intuitive
The document upload process fell over a few times
Their CS are quite pleasant but don't have great access to systems/data and can't make changes. Instead they e-mail the "back office team" who do whatever needs to be done. Communication and follow up was poor. Doesn't appear scalable.

My overall impression was that they will fit in well here, being on a par with our pillar banks in many respects (aside from the baiting interest rate). Their systems and procedures appear to be pretty basic.

Overall, I can cope with the above for something like a term deposit that involved minimum interaction, but would be quite dubious about considering a C/A when it launches.

Best of luck.

Came here looking for a thread about Bankinter and was glad to see I wasn't the only one struggling with the identity verification process. Still haven't managed to get past it after a few attempts. Customer service wasn't much use either. MoCo on the other hand was a breeze with zero issues.
