Yes it that old chestnut again 'how not to lose out when banking euros in a sterling account'.
I am due to get a transfer of 16,000 euros and appreciate that there is a vast difference between banking it directly into a high st account as opposed to using a forex trader. The only problem when dealing with a forex trader is that they already expect you to be using your own euro account.
So, what is the best euro account?
Looking around and not wanting to pay bank charges, it seems that an Irish bank account might be the solution. TSBpermanent could be an attractive proposition so long as a non resident is allowed to open a current account with them.
Any ideas would be appreciated, but lets forget about RBS, HSBC, Halifax, A & L, etc as they all want something. Even Spanish banks (but not all) charge for large deposits in euros into a euro account.
