They have to sign and attach a copy of your id with any payment. They weren't being awkward - dosn't matter if its €5 or €50,000 that is their procedures.
Went to local Ulster Bank today to transfer a small payment, under €50 to an account in Italy. I had all destination numbers IBAN etc. Was asked for photographic ID that the payment could be made, as it was 'an international payment'
Is theis the rule, or was teller just being awkward?
