Bank holiday pay

HI all,

Im trying to find out if its true that on a bank holiday you get time and a half pay rather than double time if you came into the job after may 2005...can anyone enlighten me or point me in the right direction, the job in question would be retail.

I would imagine that salary scales for working on a public holiday are dependend on one's contract of employment of any collective bargaining agreement that might be in place?

Unless your contract specifies otherwise you are not entitled to any extra pay.
