Backdated Mortgage Interest Supplement

I was made redundant Sept last year and immediately approached HSE regarding MIS. Ive been surviving on social welfare since then,am in college part time and paying pennies off mortgage. Ive got all forms sorted now ,I was told last year my payments would be backdated,is this still the case, I would be prob due over 1000 euro?

They can backdate to the date of application. If it has taken you several months to organise your application they are unlikely to backdate to before the application date.
