If you are likely to lose these at some point, do you really want it impacting your home insurance? It's likely you'd end up forking out the cost anyway between excess and increased premiums in the subsequent years.

If they are insured under an All Risks policy will the premium on your home insurance increase if you make a claim or the All Risks element?

Yes, it is a claim under the policy that will result in increased premiums for a number of years. RSA for example ask you to declare any claims in the previous 6 years.
