Avg free virus protector

My norton anti virus just ran out and i downloaded AVG free virus protector. Is this an ok one??? Do i need to worry?? I am not a computer shark and if i get attacked i would not be much good. So am i better in paying for a good one??

It's fine - but remember to keep it updated by going on line and clicking the 'Update Now' button regularly (pref. once per week and at least once per month). I've used it (along with ZoneAlarm's free personal firewall) for about a year now and have had no problems.
