AVC tax refund

Hi, I pay additional contributions each month. I'm not sure of the tax setup with it. How can I tell if I got the tax relief already, or if I need to claim in my tax return?

I think I can answer my own question. If I go to claim it on my tax return ros.ie, I can see a section for 'Amount of total net pay contributions relieved under the net pay arrangement in 2022' and it shows my total pension contributions for the year, so I have already got relief for it.

Your pension contribution would be deducted from gross pay before tax was calculated.

Strange for there to even be an AVC option on ros.ie. Is that for people who pay a pension that is not linked to employer/payslip?
