Avant Credit Card Everyday + Cashback & €30 Govt tax paid

Good point that it should not be viewed as a choice between T212, Avant Everyday and AIB Platinum. But rather how to combo all to maximise return. With the best strategy likely been Avant for groceries, T212 for everything else until you hit your €15 monthly maximum but not sure if using AIB Platinum as a third card is worthwhile given that cashback does not kick in until after 5k per year with AIB Platinum, I guess it all depends on how much one spends per month.

Have any existing customers moved over, I was told my Avant that I need to close my current card, it cannot be used with the new offer.

You can set up a direct debit to make automatic monthly payments from your bank account for either the minimum payment or your full statement balance

I've always logged into my account to update the standing order to that months amount.

Can you only set up the db like this if your current account and cc are the same bank or does it work across banks? I feel a bit silly now.

This sounds like a lot of hassle!

It works across banks. I have a direct debit set up on my BoI account to pay the full Avant bill every month.

I got my Everyday+ card last week. One thing that’s a bit annoying is that I had to set up a totally new account with Avant even though I already had a card with them. Separate usernames and passwords. The app can’t handle my old Avant card and my new one either.

I’ll report on how they apply the cashback when I get my first bill in September.

According to this you can do it online.

https://www.avantmoney.ie/directdebit
thank you for this, it links to a web form that takes you to docusign!

Which makes it weird that when logged into an account, if you click "make a payment" all they say on DD is:

You can set up a direct debit to make automatic monthly payments from your bank account for either the minimum payment or your full statement balance.

To set up a direct debit you will need to download and complete a direct debit mandate and then return it to Avant Money, PO Box 25, Dublin Road, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim

It also says "Click below to sign up for Direct Debit using our online form."

haha jeeze, I don't know if that's a me problem or poor UI but I skimmed straight past that black box. That info should just be in the Pay by Direct Debit section below.
