Availability for work Credits and JSB

I suspect I will leave my regular employment in the not too distant future and expect to sign on for JSB and after that for credits.

I have another voluntary activity alongside my work that I plan to continue. However this takes up a few days a month, and often outside the country. It is hard to calculate but say in average 6/7 weekdays in a month, expenses are provided but no pay. I'm more then happy to exclude these days for signing purposes.

I'm actually more interested in credits long term rather than a JSB payment. Think I can say I'd be available full time work as I do both at the moment.

How will DSP view this? I've read about part time signing and wonder if this would work or are there other options?

I'd be amazed if the DSP would disqualify you in any way for voluntary work. That said, when signing on for credits you do so once a year so being out of the country for a few days would be unlucky of you missed it. The initial 9 months of paid benefit could be trickier as you have to sign once a month and collect once a week.

Any use?

Strange I thought I replied to that, it's an odd one as not tradtional charity stuff, more like an international board. Suspect I'll just see what happens.
