Leaving out flights, how much money would you need to budget in order to stay in normal accomodation and sight see?

you could do it even cheaper by camping. You have good weather to do this just get some good insect repellent and away you go

Does anyone know where I could find out if the Australian Government introduced the initiative where they would let tourists travel to Australia for free but they would have to spend $6000 while there? There's nothing on the Australian Embassy website.
