Neither type is any use if you then use your attic for storage and compress the insulation.

Be careful that you have properly protected any downlighter fittings from encroachment by the insulation leading to over heating fo them and/or their transformers.

If you are going to convert teh attic later consider insulating so as to follow the line of the roof - but take competent professional advice to make sure yoyu don't create intersstitial ventilation problems.

Recycled paper insulation blown fill has been known to be a fire hazard and there may be restrictions as to where you can/should use it.

check the type of insulation if using rolls; hemp and sheep's wool would not be effected by moisture like mineral wool

Hi,

Thanks for the replies!

After installing blown insulation, would it still be possible to use the attic for some storage?

Would it be very messy coming/going to the attic with blown insulation?

thanks!
