Hi
Im been made redundant shortly and have been told all ill be getting is the statutory, the company has been downsizing for quite a bit and other people have been made redundant prior to me a few months back and recieved 4 weeks to every year. i am one of the longest serving employees (8 years) and was always the last to leave. how do i fight my corner? has anyone been in similar situation?

Siniliar situation- document all meeting and confirm your understanding of any meetings with your employer in writing.Seek legal advice if possible though could be expensive.Good Luck

That seems to be the norm with employers and I have seen it happen numerous times. Always the first batch to go seem to get the best deal, so to speak. Then somewhere along the line, funds get depleted and the next batch seem to be left with statutory.

All you can do is argue your case as stated above - document everything - prepare your notes and request a meeting with your manager to discuss your options.

Good luck with it!
