ashphalt roof replacemet

Recently asked guys I knew to replace ashphalt roof - recently having a lot of problems with these guys - anyway, discovered today that they did not replace the asphalt roof but painted it with black paint. When I confronted them about it, they said it was special rubber paint, which costs €300 a tin. Has anyone heard of this paint? They charged me €2500 to replace the roof, and then they painted it. Now having lots of problems with their work - see also 'water in oil tank' post. Any advice on this roofing problem greatly appreciated.
 
Hi! Pudzer, no they don't have details of the manufactuers, distrbutors of the paint - nothing at all.
 
that's probably the same stuff you can buy in any builder's merchants for €30 a tin. They didn't do the job you asked for, so don't pay up.
 
Hi! Leo, thanks for your reply. I think that's what they used - the stuff for €30.00 - unfortunately because the colour of the roof had changed, and because I trusted them - they are my immediate neighbours where I currently live, and their daughter plays with mine, I actually paid them the €2,500 already - don't know what I can do to get it back, or to make sure they don't do this to anyone else.
 
Hi!, everyone, the stuff the guy put on my asphalt roof is called Roo7, a rubber coating - does anyone know anything about this - any comments much appreciated.
