Hi, as a landlord, our elec was cut off after 10 working days because we did not re-register our name as account holder after tenant moved out. tenant was expecting bill( which was fully paid up due to the fact that a 200 euro deposit is paid at the outset)to be sent to her home address and so because of a misunderstanding we were cut off. I contacted ESB re reconnection fee and was quoted 98 Euro. I then contacted Bord Gais who quoted 199 Euro. I explained to the company that I might as well revert back to ESB( tenant had switched to Bord Gais) as their recconnection fee was 98 euro. Bord Gais said ' oh hang on a minute until I double check ................... Actually its 90 Euro plus vat' A genuine error or something else?? This is my first experiece with this company and after dealing with ESB for 20 years I have never been cut off for any reason.
