I understand this exemption applies in Ireland up to 40k for certain endeavours only. Assuming it applies to an author here are a couple of questions.
Does the exemption still apply even when the artist has a day job, and earns a salary? I know it won't apply to the salary but still should apply to the money earned from the author's work
Is the author classified as self-employed (no day job in this scenarion)? If not, then at what stage can he claim social welfare? Ie when he has published a book and is no longer writing, or at no stage at all, or when he no longer makes money from previous works?
Thanks
